How many Reiki sessions do you need? One tells you whether Reiki is for you. Three to four, spaced over a month, is where most people feel a clear shift. Eight, over two to three months, is for a longer-standing pattern you're ready to work through properly. And you are done when you no longer think about booking the next one — not when a package runs out.
That's the honest answer. Here's the reasoning, so you can decide for yourself rather than take a package because it was offered.
Why not just one?
One session does something real: most people sleep better that night and feel the stillness for a day or two. But the nervous system learns by repetition. If it has been in alert for months, one experience of standing down is a glimpse, not a habit. By the third or fourth session the body starts to expect the drop — it happens faster, goes deeper, and lasts longer between sessions. That's the point where people say things like "I noticed my shoulders were down on their own on Tuesday."
So: one to find out. Three or four to change something.
When four is right
A specific season — a relocation, a launch, a recovery, a hard few months you're coming out of. Something with a shape. Four sessions over three to five weeks (The Renewal) matches that shape. Most of my clients in Cannes start here.
When eight is right
A pattern older than the season. Years of not switching off. A body that has been braced since before you can remember. Grief that's had no room. Eight sessions over two to three months (The Immersion) is a container long enough for the body to trust the change, and I check in with you as we go — if you're done at six, we stop at six.
When one is enough
You've just landed and want to sleep tonight. You have a big week and want to arrive in it steady. You're curious and want data before deciding anything. One session — €180 — is exactly right, and I'll never push a package on someone who came for one.
How to tell when you're done
You stop feeling that you need it. The stillness you found on the table is available on the terrace. You sleep. You can sit for an hour without reaching for the phone. At that point some people come once a month as maintenance; most simply stop and come back when the next season arrives. Both are correct.
What I won't say
I won't tell you a number without knowing you. I won't tell you that more is always better; it isn't. And I won't tell you Reiki does what a doctor does — it's a complementary practice that works alongside medical care, and if you describe something that needs a doctor first, I'll say so before we book anything.
Spacing matters more than number
Four sessions in four consecutive days do less than four across four weeks. The body needs the days between to practise what it learned on the table — to find the drop on its own, to sleep, to notice the shoulders are down. A week apart is the rhythm I suggest; ten days if life is full. Longer than a fortnight and the thread starts to loosen. If you're only here a week, three sessions across it works — that's Your Week Here — and if you're here for a month, weekly is right.
FAQ
How many Reiki sessions do you need to feel a difference? Most people notice better sleep after one. A clear, lasting shift usually shows by the third or fourth session, spaced a week or so apart.
How often should Reiki sessions be? Weekly, or every ten days, while working through something — close enough that the body remembers. Monthly as maintenance if you want it. Never so often that it becomes a chore.
Is one Reiki session enough? For a reset — after a flight, before a big week — yes. For a pattern that's been there for months, one is the beginning, not the whole.
If you're deciding
Message me on WhatsApp and tell me in one line what you're hoping changes. I'll tell you whether that sounds like one session, four or eight — and I'll say one if one is right. Single €180, The Renewal €640, The Immersion €1 120.
