If you live between two places, a session doesn't have to stop when you leave one of them. Distance Reiki is the same 45 minutes, the same sequence and the same attention, given from Cannes while you lie down in a flat in London, a hotel in Dubai, or a reclined seat somewhere over the Alps. We agree a time in your zone; you lie down; I message when it's done. The rhythm of sessions carries on regardless of the geography.
A lot of my clients live this way — a founder with a company in London and a house in Villefranche, a family that winters on the Riviera and summers in Scandinavia. This is how it works for them.
The problem with living in two places
Rest needs continuity. If you've built a month of sessions and then you're away for three weeks, the body loses the thread, and the first session back is partly a restart. For people who are always partly elsewhere, that means never quite getting past the beginning.
Distance sessions solve exactly that. Session three can be in London on a Wednesday evening; session four back in Cannes the following week. The body doesn't notice the difference in the way you'd expect.
Time zones
I work from Cannes, on French time. London is an hour behind — easy. Dubai is two or three ahead, depending on the season — an evening session there is an afternoon one here. New York is six behind — a morning session there is an early evening one here. All workable. I'd rather do a session at 10 pm my time than have you miss it.
What you do from London
Find a quiet hour. Bed or sofa. Phone on silent. Lie down at the agreed time, fully clothed, and do nothing in particular — rest, doze, think, whichever happens. At the end my message arrives. We exchange a line or two about what you noticed, if you want to.
What I do from Cannes
I give the full session on a proxy — a physical stand-in for your body — in the same sequence I'd use with you on the table. Head, throat, chest, stomach, lower body, feet. Same pace, same attention. There's a longer explanation of the proxy method in [how distance Reiki works](/journal/distance-reiki-how-it-works/); the short version is that my hands have somewhere to be and you receive the attention.
What a founder between Nice and London found
He'd done three sessions in Cannes over a fortnight and then had to be in London for a month. We did the fourth and fifth as distance sessions, Wednesday evenings, him in a flat in Marylebone and me here. He told me afterwards he'd expected them to be a lesser version. What he noticed was that they were quieter — no one in the room, no journey to get there — and that the sleep afterwards was the same. He kept the Wednesday slot when he came back.
On the plane
Yes, genuinely. A long-haul flight is an hour you can't do anything with anyway. Reclined seat, eye mask, agreed time — a session mid-flight is one of the more useful things I do for people who fly a lot, and it changes the arrival. If you want this, tell me your flight time and I'll work out the overlap.
Reiki is complementary in any form; a distance session doesn't replace medical or psychological care, and nothing about it changes that.
FAQ
Can I have Reiki sessions when I'm travelling? Yes. Distance sessions continue the rhythm from anywhere — London, Dubai, a plane. We agree a time in your zone, you lie down, I give the session from Cannes.
How do time zones work for distance Reiki? I work on French time and adapt. London is an hour behind, Dubai two or three ahead, New York six behind. We find a slot that's quiet at your end.
Is distance Reiki as effective as in person when travelling? Clients who've done both report the same sleep and the same settling. Some find the distance version quieter, since there's no one in the room and no journey.
If you're between two places
Message me on WhatsApp with where you'll be and when. A distance session is €180, the same as in person, and it fits into any package — sessions don't have to all be in the same country.
