Reiki on a yacht works well. You need a cabin or a shaded deck where you won't be disturbed for an hour, and a way for me to get aboard — a tender from the port at Cannes or Antibes is fine, or the passerelle if you're moored. The session itself is 45 minutes, on a bed or a lounger, fully clothed, with the same sequence I'd use in a villa. The movement of the boat, if anything, helps.
Most of the yacht sessions I do are during charters in July and August, and most of them are for the same reason: a week that was supposed to be a rest has turned into a schedule, and someone on board needs an hour that isn't one.
Getting aboard
If you're at anchor in the bay of Cannes, the Golfe-Juan, or off the Cap d'Antibes, the simplest thing is for the tender to collect me from the quay — tell me which port and I'll be there at the agreed time. If you're moored in Port Canto, Port Vauban or Monaco, I walk on. I travel light: no table, no equipment. A bed or a wide lounger is all the session needs.
Where on board
A cabin is ideal — quiet, shaded, cool. A shaded aft deck works if the boat is calm and the crew aren't working nearby. What doesn't work is the saloon with people passing through; the session needs an hour without interruption, and so do you.
The crew
They don't need to know what I'm there for. I arrive as a guest's visitor, stay an hour, and leave. I don't discuss who I see, on boats or anywhere else. If the captain or chief stew wants to know for scheduling, "a wellness appointment" is accurate and sufficient.
What the session is
You lie down. I work from the head to the feet with hands resting lightly on or above the body. No talking during. On a boat, with the slight movement and the sound of water, most people are asleep within minutes — it's the easiest place I work. At the end I let you lie for a moment, then I'm gone. You can go straight to lunch or straight to sleep.
When during a charter
The first or second day, if the flight in was long — that's the Arrival Reset, and it's the difference between spending the first three days adjusting and spending them on holiday. Midway through, when the pace has caught up with someone. And the day before you fly home, when the week has been good and you'd like it to settle before it ends.
One client, a guest on a charter off Antibes, booked me for what she called "the day the holiday finally started" — day four. She slept for two hours after and said it was the first real rest of the week.
For crew
I'm asked about this more often than you'd think. Crew work fifteen-hour days in season and rarely get an hour that's theirs. If the owner or charterer is open to it, a short session for crew on a changeover day is one of the more useful things I do. Ask.
Reiki is complementary — a rest, not a treatment. If someone aboard is unwell, that's the doctor's call first, not mine.
Weather
If it's blowing and the boat is moving hard at anchor, we postpone or move ashore — my space in Cannes is ten minutes from the port. A gentle swell helps; a lumpy sea doesn't, for either of us. The captain usually knows by morning what the afternoon will be like, and I'm happy to work around it.
FAQ
Can you do a Reiki session on a yacht? Yes — at anchor or moored, in a cabin or on a shaded deck. A tender from the port collects me, or I walk on if you're in a marina. I bring nothing but myself.
Does the boat's movement affect a Reiki session? It helps. The slight motion and the sound of water put most people to sleep faster than any room on land.
How much is a Reiki session on a yacht? €180 for 45 minutes, the same as on land. Tender pickup from Cannes or Antibes is included; further along the coast we agree a small travel addition.
If you're aboard this week
Message me on WhatsApp with where you're anchored and a window that's quiet. I can usually come the same or next day in season. If it's your first days on the coast, ask for the Arrival Reset.
